I accept children aged 6 weeks to 11 years. 

Little Readers is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:30pm.

I offer a play-based curriculum that is designed to foster a love of learning in young children. I use monthly themes and adapt 123Learn curriculum with additional supplemental activities. We also are using DRDP assessments in the Fall and Spring each year. 

In addition to the benefits that family childcare uniquely provides, I am a highly trained early childhood educator. My favorite aspect that I believe makes my program stand out is enrichment activities I provide for my kiddos.

Since moving to Ely, I had sold my 15 passenger van and our field trip opportunities were limited but I’m SO happy to announce we now have a 12 passenger van to take on all sorts adventures! Field trips already have included farm visits, the bear center, the wolf center, parks, the library and Boundary Waters Care Center. Field trips are engaging opportunities for learning that not only provide fun experiences but prepare children well for school. I look forward to exploring the many wonders of Ely and surrounding area with the children!
